Vietnam moments

Thinh Le – freelancer at Compass magazine – was born inVietnamand moved to US at the aged of nine. Thinh became interested in photography as a tool to capture space which he turned into a passion as he became fascinated with colors and composition.

To understand one’s culture, he must immerse himself within the contexts of his cultural fabric of identity. What defines a place defines a culture. What defines a culture defines a space of conformity relative to its surrounding contexts.

This visit to the contexts of Vietnam becomes a journey of discovery of place. The relationships between these places create the fabric that holds together the Vietnamese culture. This set of photographs is an exploration of the connection between texture, color, and spatial transformation within this cultural fabric.
